Our new formula now includes another natural odor fighter - zinc ricinoleate! This is derived from castor bean oil and is an effective odor absorber that will help keep you smelling fresher for longer. The scents with updated labels in their photo include this new ingredient.
About the Packaging:
As a part of our commitment to sustainability, we try to avoid the use of new plastic whenever possible. Putting this product in a plastic deodorant tube would also add to the price and we strive to keep our products affordable. The deodorant stays solid even in hot weather, so it is easy to swipe on! Keep the butcher paper wrapper to hold the bar or just use it bare-handed!

Usage
for use as an underarm deodorant
I've tried lots of different "natural" deodorants, and most of them have been pretty useless. This one, though, not only smells wonderful (I bought the lemongrass version) but so far works better than any that I've tried.
This is it. It's simple ingredients, it doesn't stain my shirts or crumble and it lasts *most* of the day. No cardboard or plastic waste to the degree of mainstream products. It's HALF the cost of Native and Dr .Squatch that doesn't even get me through half my day. Putting in an order for one of each as soon as the "sold out" scents come back. Told a bunch of my friends about it. Fat Chance, please don't stop making it and please don't double your price!! This stuff is perfect.
I absolutely love this deodorant. I had been using something in a plastic roll-on for many years and wanted to ditch the packaging; I'd say I have average stink production, and I do a lot of gardening and walking and such so the actual deodorizing power needs to be there for me. I love the scent of this bar, love the texture (it got soft the week our AC gave up in 95+ degree heat but didn't melt), and have not once felt stinky while under its protection. It doesn't leave any residue on my sleeves and if there's a hint of lemongrass on the fabric, so much the better. Fat Chance makes nice soap, but this deodorant bar is the bees' knees. I want to use it forever.
I love this deodorant!!! Truth be told I originally purchased the "Natural Deodorant Bar" because I thought it was soap (apparently I didn't read the label). So it sat unused for a little while. Finally I thought, "well I have it I might as well try it since I have it." And boy was I was so surprised! I LOVE THIS DEODERANT! I've used my fair share of various deodorants and hadn't found one I loved. Either the ingredients were toxic, or the natural deodorant didn't work for me. This one is heaven. For me it is perfect; I've never had a problem with it staining my clothing and it keeps me fresh! I have since ordered at least 5 bars. I can't see myself ever using a different deodorant. Keep rocking it Fat Chance Farm!
